What is Meditation
Query: What is
Meditation! Is Self Realization a permanent feature. Self hypnotism and deep state of
meditation... are they same?
As one proceeds higher on the Spiritual plane ... one
becomes more and more conscious of the living being inside ... our atman the soul within ...
hypnotism, hypnotic state are not the least related to the field of Spirituality. The
practitioners of hypnotism fall under the category of ... Magic ... Black Magic ... medical
treatment of patients where there is no choice left but to hypnotize the patient into a
particular state of mind to get the actual facts of life. Sometimes, hypnotism is also used
on culprits to get the truth out.
In Meditation ... there is nothing like a trance state
... one is all the more conscious when in deep Meditation ... it is only at the pinnacle of
Meditation that one comes face-to-face with God ... how can then it be that one is in a
trance and yet facing God. In deep Meditation one gets more concentrated in the thought
pattern ... all thoughts related to the materialistic life get washed away and what is left
is thoughts pertaining to Spiritual upliftment only.
Before we discuss more on the matter ... we need to
understand the actual meaning of word Meditation ... Meditation is the English word for Yoga.
and what is Yoga? Yoga in Hinduism means trying to create synthesis between atman the soul
within and the Parmatman (God Almighty).
Every atman the soul within ... on its cosmic journey
tries to establish a contact with the Creator ... this is what we are doing while offering
Prayers to God Almighty Creator ... in a way Prayers are also a form of Yoga. Why is it
necessary for an atman the soul within ... to try establishing a contact with the God
Right from the first manifestation as an amoeba to the
last ... the form of a human being ... the only goal for atman the soul within is attaining
Liberation from cycle of Birth and Death. This is just not possible without the grace of God.
Every human being ... a true seeker of Spirituality meditates ... yet, we do not meditate on
the center of a bulb but these instruments only act as a medium for us to concentrate our
energies in trying to establish a contact with the Creator.
The dialogues of Plato are nothing else but a form of
Meditation. He tried to logistically weave out all that he and his associates considered as
false ... once we weed out all that is untrue ... what remains is only the absolute truth.
This is nothing else but practicing Neti ... the method utilized by Maharishi Ramana to gain
Self Realization ... in the process of Neti negate all that is not God ... saying not this,
not this ... and what finally remains is a face-to-face dialogue with God.
In Hindi, Yoga is derived from the word "yog". As two
plus two equals four ... in Hindi we call it two yog two equals four. The effort of atman
soul to combine with Parmatman ... the effort of the soul ... to assimilate with God Almighty
is what we know as Yoga ... that is Meditation. Most of the people I have come across in life
have indicated that they have been long practicing Meditation. When asked, how do they
practice Meditation ... most replied that they sat in a dark room and concentrated on the
center of a small lit bulb. Is that all to what Meditation is all about?
People have been sitting in this posture not for months
but have spent many years ... yet, they do not feel satisfied with the results. I am
surprised to observe what kind of benefit they expected out of sitting in a dark black room
doing nothing. Yoga (Meditation) means resolving all queries within us ... dissolving them
forever ... and by the process of Neti ... not this, not this ... what ultimately remains is
one-to-one dialogue with God.
What are the impurities within us that we are to come out
of ... the human body is controlled by the senses. All senses are subsequently controlled by
the mind ... and unless we gain control over the senses and subsequently the mind ... we
cannot stop the flow of multitude of thoughts entering our head every moment of time. The
moment all thoughts are channeled by us having established control over the mind ... we can
now easily gain Self Realization. We are only a short distance away in gaining Self
Realization once we have controlled mind in its entirety. This is a stage of Nirvikalpa
Samadhi ... the stage when the flow of thoughts into the brain completely stops ... this is
what is actually desired of Meditation.
We may sit in a darkened room or concentrate on the
center of a bulb ... our goal shall always be achieving the state of Nirvikalpa Samadhi. I
always tried the art of Shavasana - The Dead Pose for achieving the desired results and I was
very successful in controlling the senses and subsequently the mind. Thus lying down in form
of Shavasana, practicing Neti is the best form of Meditation one can never think of. and this
I used to easily achieve while carrying out my daily chores. I never once thought of taking
out time for Meditation. I practiced it day and night while doing my work. It is a true fact
of life that Meditation when done in the right posture gives desired results.
Even before we try to take control of senses and
subsequently the mind ... we are required to burn out the dross within us ... the moment the
resultant Karma required to be done by us is reduced to zero (burnt out) ... our journey
towards Self Realization is almost nearing the end. and what is the process of burning out
the Karma ... one can always burn out the Karma of this life ... but what of the residual
Karma of past lives!
At a certain stage I shall be bringing out an e-book
which shall be a priced document ... herein I shall present the Mantra for absolving self out
of the vicious circle of Karma. For this Mantra realized souls charged one lakh ($1 million)
in the yester years ... but now, it would be available for an extremely low price
Taking control of senses in a way means burning out the
dross from within the residual Karma ... in short ... when there is no Karma to perform ...
one has taken over control of senses and subsequently the mind. Once the control of the mind
is in our hands ... Self Realization is not far away. It is Karma ... which makes an Atman go
round and round manifesting one life after another ... and the moment the residual Karma is
burnt ... all is over with Atman ... it comes back to its pristine purity ... one gains
enlightenment! The purpose of Meditation completes forever.

Full text of query: I am subscriber of your newsletter. I had a query. It is
said that Meditation is the seat for the Realization of Godhood, the self. Is it a hypnotic
trance state which a self realized person experiences for the rest of his life? Self
hypnotism and deep state of Meditation are they same? I would be grateful if you could answer
my query. Yours Sincerely, A. back to what is meditation
How to Meditate
Could you tell me what to experience through varoious
Meditation techniques, from Taoist standpoint without Religion in the background.
Before delving into the bottomless pit of Meditation I
would like to clarify and discuss upon Religion
and Spirituality at large.
What do we mean when we talk of Religion?
Just before the time when Bhagwan Mahavira
descended on Mother Earth to become a man God in his lifetime... how did the humanity exist
before that as there was no Religion at all before the times of Mahavira. Gautama Buddha had
not yet come, and so did Jesus Christ. It was another 700 years to go before Prophet Mohammed
would be born.
If the Spiritual masters of the day belonging to various
Religions proclaim that their Religion was the best and only to be followed... where were
they when the humanity survived even before the likes of Bhagwan Mahavira, Jesus Christ and
prophet Mohammed were even born. They have got to be wrong... they must have a vested
interest in proclaiming their Religion to be the best.
Jainism flowered after the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism
took birth... Bhagwan Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara precipitated the cosmic wisdom to the
masses. Until the 23rd Tirthankara, Lord Parshvanath... the fragrance of the cosmic wisdom
could not be spread to the masses and was limited to the Tirthankars, the Arihantas and the
Acharyas (Spiritual teachers) of the times. The followers of Bhagwan Mahavira are known as
following Jainism Religion. It is a different fact that Jainism is not a Religion and it is
primarily a way of life. This is also confirmed from the fact that the followers of Mahavira
are not known as following Mahavirism. They are known as the followers of Jainism... the
definition of Jainism I shall take up later.
Buddhism is primarily the essence of the teachings of
Gautama Buddha. The followers of Sidhartha Gautama are supposed to be following the Buddhism
Religion. Everything contained in Buddhism is always related to the teachings of Sidhartha
Gautama. The teachings of Gautama Buddha are also termed as the middle path... neither
following too austere paths which is difficult to follow and not getting totally involved in
the household affairs... following the middle path is what Gautama Buddha preached if one
desired to crossover the ocean of Samsara (the life cycle of 8.4 million manifestations) and
achieve Salvation in this life. Buddhism spread around the globe only after Sidhartha Gautama
took birth learnt of the cosmic wisdom and achieved monk hood.
Christianity is a faith the followers of which comprise
of believers in Jesus Christ. Those who consider Jesus Christ as the son of God... whose
teachings form the primary content of the Bible... and the following of whom is termed as
Christianity. Before Jesus Christ came there was nothing we could call Christianity.
Christianity took its roots only after Jesus Christ was born on Mother Earth.
The followers of prophet Mohammed are called Islamite.
The teachings of prophet Mohammed are primarily summarized in Koran and his following termed
as the followers of Islamic Dharma nay Religion. Islamic teachings are primarily focused on
prophet Mohammed. Islamic Dharma spread only after the advent of prophet Mohammed... not
Jainism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islamic Dharma are
normally considered as Religions... all Religions do have a central focus in them. Jainism
has Bhagwan Mahavira, Buddhism has Sidhartha Gautama, and Christianity has Jesus Christ and
the Islamic Dharma prophet Mohammed.
What when all four of these man gods did not exist! Say
about a thousand years before the advent of Bhagwan Mahavira came Lord Krishna, the
Avatar. The followers of Lord Krishna are not termed as the followers of Hinduism.
Not at all. What when even Lord Krishna had not yet incarnated. Even then say around 3600
years before from now the humanity survived without a Religion... how?
Now, I would explain the complete cosmic
As the animal life started to evolve into Human Beings...
the most initial of Human Beings just behaved like animals. There was no family structure or
science to guide them. Nothing had yet evolved... it was only thousands of years later the
Human Beings slowly started to realize that they were distinctly different from the animals.
They somehow realized that they had something that we call as thinking power.
Using this faculty... the human race started to evolve
faster. There was something that guided these Human Beings in the absence of any Religion.
What was it? It was Dharma... "Your right to do what is just and right and not what was
destined"... God Almighty, directly dictated this definition of Dharma to me. Our right to
live... do what is just and right... and following the dictates within... the dictates of our
atman the soul within is what we term as Dharma... the guide of total humanity in the vast
expanse of Cosmos!
It was Dharma that guided Lord Krishna in his journey
when Pandavas declared their famous battle against Kauravas... the battle of Dharma in the
Kurukshetra region (which presently lies in Haryana state of India). A fight to the finish in
which truth would prevail in the end! Pandavas who were right in their war against Adharma
ultimately won... but only with the help of Lord Krishna, the Avatar.
It was not that Lord Krishna favored Pandavas... as
destiny would have it, everything which belonged to Lord Krishna was initially offered to
Kauravas. But the blind always remains a blind... when Lord Krishna
asked of Kauravas what they desired of him out of his total possessions which consisted of
his army and lord Krishna himself ... they opted for the total army of Lord Krishna to be
with them. Lord Krishna said, "Amen". Kauravas failed to realize that it was their sheer bad
thinking due to which Lord Krishna himself was made available to Pandavas.
With Lord Krishna himself guiding the Pandavas... how
could it be that the total army of Lord Krishna would make Kauravas win the
Now, what when even Lord Krishna had not yet incarnated.
Even then people lived and survived without any Religion. Bhagwan Rama came around 1500 years
earlier to Lord Krishna. Dharma still existed but unknown to mankind! It was this time that
the four Vedas were made available to the humanity by God Almighty. and what are these four
Vedas... the Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda and Atharva Veda!
All these four documents are the first scriptural
documents... the Sacred teachings made available to mankind by God Almighty. There is nothing
beyond them. When I say nothing means nothing! No record in history or any human being on
Mother Earth can prove otherwise!
These four Vedas comprise of the total teachings which
are contained in the total sacred Scriptures of all Religions of the world... there is
nothing to be learnt or known beyond them. These voluminous documents were never meant for
the common masses. Even if one tried to read through them one could not have understood them
(if I say read through them... I am wrong for the Lipi nay alphabets had not yet evolved).
They were the core of all fundamental teachings that were available to mankind at that
There had to be some wise man that could understand these
voluminous Scriptural documents. As time passed by one sage after another tried to digest the
contents therein. and were produced the Upanishads... the various Upanishads are treatises by
different sages elaborating on different topics. Further on Upanishads later!
Initially the four elaborate Vedas and then a series of
Upanishads... the humanity got lost. What to follow and what not. Who is going to explain to
them the total content... the abstract at one go. The various sages themselves took years to
salvage the contents and learn of the inner cosmic wisdom... what if they left their mortal
frame even before the contents... the commentary could be made available to
The mankind was thirsty for the cosmic wisdom... the
basic fabric of the society had broken down... it was anarchy all over... something had to be
done, the prime system on which based the total humanity was getting disordered. and God
Almighty made Lord Krishna incarnate on Mother Earth. What a miracle! A godly person has
descended on Mother Earth to set the system in order. Wow! The humanity could feel the waves
in the air. Lord Krishna even as a child had godly powers. One miracle after another was to
be observed by the masses.
The meaning was clear to them... they now were in the
company of one who had the potential to destroy all Adharma (sins) prevailing on Mother Earth
and start Satyuga the golden era! Came the war of
Mahabharata fought between Pandavas and Kauravas and Lord Krishna got his
opportunity to preach Bhagavad Gita to King Arjuna. Lord Krishna knew King Arjuna was the
only human being present on Mother Earth who alone would be able to digest the teachings of
Bhagavad Gita. There was no other human being of the same capability as King
The teachings of Bhagavad Gita imparted to King Arjuna
form the core teachings of what is contained in the four Vedas and all the Upanishads
combined. If one were to understand the Bhagavad Gita in its entirety... the purpose of this
mortal frame would immediately cease... one would gain enlightenment (God Realization) the
very moment and subsequently Salvation Moksha. Came the Bhagavad Gita and the necessity of
understanding the core teachings of the four Vedas and the Upanishads vanished.
If one knew the Bhagavad Gita in its entirety... there
was nothing more left to learn in the four Vedas and the Upanishads. Ever since Bhagavad Gita
exists on Mother Earth one need not run after any Religion dogma or faith... the knower of
Bhagavad Gita becomes the knower of Brahman (God Almighty aka Karta, ParmAtman soul, Prabhu
in Hinduism). The knower of Brahman becomes a man god like Bhagwan Mahavira, Gautama Buddha,
Jesus Christ and prophet Mohammed. They all emaciated and took Salvation within their
Whenever one desires drinking fresh juice... the juicer
man picks up four ripe oranges and puts them in the juicer machine and what we have... the
extract... the Bhagavad Gita! Lord Krishna did the same to the Vedas. The teachings of
Bhagavad Gita are extremely simple to understand provided one really wants to! There is
nothing at all to be known in this world other than what is contained in Bhagavad
If Bhagavad Gita can be stated as containing hundred
percent truth then Jainism consists of 80%, Buddhism 70%, Christianity 60% and Islamic Dharma
50%. Not that Jainism consists of 20 per cent impurities but in essence out of the total
teachings of Bhagavad Gita, Bhagwan Mahavira propagated rather concentrated on 80% teachings.
Similarly, Gautama Buddha concentrated and imparted 70% of what is contained in Bhagavad
Gita. Jesus Christ and prophet Mohammed imparted 60% and 50% respectively (so as to say) of
what is contained in Bhagavad Gita.
Nothing contained in the doctrines of Jainism, Buddhism,
Christianity and Islamic Dharma bear any untruthful statements. All is pure. The impurities
get mixed up when different preachers amalgamate their own teachings along with the sacred
Scriptures. The common masses are simply required to assess the wrong from the right which is
not very difficult to do as the small inner voice coming from within (the voice of Atman, the
soul within) always prompts us and guides us on the right path.
It is the power of discrimination which every human being
possesses... the power of Atman that makes every human being a unique representative of God
on Mother Earth. Every individual human being has the power to become a man god... to become
Bhagwan Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or prophet Mohammed!
Here I need to explain the term Vedas more explicitly.
The term Veda in Hinduism means "the spoken word". As Lipi (alphabets) had not yet evolved...
the preaching's of the sacred Scriptures were passed on from one Spiritual master to another
through Veda, the spoken word. Everything was verbal... the total communication. It was a
really difficult time to assimilate the complete teachings of the Vedas mentally as nothing
was available in written form. Vedas... all the four Vedas were the direct dictation of God
to one of the sages who could have understood there meaning. This was the first step by God
Almighty Creator in passing on the cosmic wisdom to mankind.
Who was the first sage who invoked the power of the Vedas
is not known to anybody. Even in Hinduism or the Bhagavad Gita there is no mention of the
sage who invoked the Vedas initially... the starting point! It is not of much importance but
to assimilate the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita is more important for the mankind at large.
It was only around the second century that Lipi (alphabets) developed and everything which
was being communicated verbally... passed on from one Spiritual master to another was reduced
We now have a large collection of Upanishads, the four
Vedas, the sacred Bhagavad Gita and various commentaries on Bhagavad Gita available
to mankind at large. It was in 1993 that the moment I Realized God... whatever was contained
in the four Vedas, the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita and all the sacred Scriptures existing
on Mother Earth entered my head the same day. Through the power of Shruti I can invoke the
complete cosmic wisdom from the reservoir of Mind Plus.
Does it mean that if all the copies of the Vedas, the
Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, Bible, Koran, the doctrines of Jainism and Buddhism get
destroyed... yes, as a god realized person I have the power to invoke the complete cosmic
wisdom from the reservoir of Mind Plus through the power of Shruti and reproduce every
document... a real achievement indeed! I am so grateful to God for having bestowed upon me
this grace of being able to understand the inner meaning of Bhagavad Gita even without having
read through the document once.
Whatever quote I am making from Bhagavad Gita is not
based on something I have read through Bhagavad Gita or the Vedas. All these documents are
like an open book to me. I do not need to refer to any sacred Scripture to know of the
underlying truth. Having come face-to-face with God Almighty... the sun in its cosmic
glory... I have lost all interest in the power of a candle or a bulb.
So now it is clear that Dharma forms the core... the
sustenance of total mankind. Dharma is directly governed by our atman the soul within. It
inherently is always available to every human being nay every Jiva (living being) come
whatever may. But, the cosmic wisdom of the Vedas, the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads and the
Scriptures of the various Religions is only available to mankind and not the lower forms...
the form of an animal, the plant life, the insect life, the multiple cell formations and the
amoeba itself (a single cell formation).
Every living being including the animals, plants, insects
are governed by Dharma. Religion is a creation of mankind. Practically speaking as many Human
Beings... as many chains of thoughts exist! Whenever the following is large it gets converted
into a Religion.
Now I shall explain the fundamental behind the word
Religion. Why Religion exists at all... any Religion whatsoever it may be or its teachings...
everything is meant to guide the physical mortal frame... so that the physical life passes
through a smooth phase. The 70 to 80 years life span of every human being is primarily guided
by Religion. Only if one wants to dive deep into the inner self then
one is required to follow the Bhagavad Gita... the followers of Bhagavad Gita are not related
to any Religion but they are considered to be the followers of pure Spirituality... those who
are the seekers of truth... the absolute truth... on which relies the very existence of every
Spirituality is not the least related to Religion.
Spirituality means diving deep into the inner realms of cosmic wisdom... the inner truth. It
is the study of cosmic journey... the cosmic life itself... the journey of 8.4 million
manifestations and a total cosmic life cycle of 96.4 million years that every atman soul has
to pass through. Spirituality... the study of Bhagavad Gita imparts to us the study... the
knowledge about our real inner self... our atman the soul within. Those who need to know
everything about the soul and the cosmic life itself must study Bhagavad Gita... only one
document contains everything any human being needs to know for being able to gain
enlightenment (God Realization) and finally Salvation Moksha.
Bhagavad Gita guides us as to how to perform Karma, the
meaning of Yoga, the atman soul and the Brahman, the interwoven connection between the vast
terminology of Spirituality. The meaning of Swarga Heaven, Naraka hell, the differentiation
between knowledge (the bookish knowledge) and the cosmic wisdom (the true words of Jnana),
the different aspects of life like happiness suffering and Bliss and how to cross over the
threshold of earthly journey is but a tiny drop in the vast ocean we know as Bhagavad
Practically speaking Religion guides us on the physical
plane... the earthly abode of 70 to 80 years of physical manifested life... contrary to this
Spirituality guides us about the total cosmic journey every atman the soul within has to take
... the journey of 8.4 million manifestations and 96.4 lengthy earthly years after which
there is nothing else left for atman the soul within but to come back to its cosmic glory.
All dross having removed from atman the soul within one gains immortality... there is no
comeback... there is no further manifestation for this Atman for it has purified back to its
This is when it is stated in Hinduism that it goes back
to Baikunth, the abode of God. Here I would like to explain something about Baikunth... the
relationship between God Almighty Creator (Brahman) and atman the soul within.
When I was a child my father used to give me different
puzzles. I was fascinated when I used to disassemble and again assemble them. Pieces of
cardboard but yet relaying a very deep inner meaning! I subsequently realized that every
individual piece of the puzzle is an independent atman the soul within and the total puzzle
is what we call God Almighty (the Brahman himself). At the time of the Big Bang (the
beginning of the cosmos) when God Almighty splits with its cosmic fury ... all Atmans (the
soul within) get scattered all over the Cosmos... the complete bigger puzzle is not destroyed
Slowly as time passed by one Atman soul after another
gains enlightenment and comes back to its original pristine glory... it rejoins the greater
puzzle (the Baikunth) and starts the reassembling of God Almighty (the bigger puzzle as a
whole). More and more Atmans souls gain immortality and join the greater puzzle. A day comes
when the puzzle gets completed... it is the time for the dissolution (pralaya in Hinduism).
The whole Cosmos will again dissolve and become the size of half a thumb... the combined
positive power of all purified Atmans souls together.
This positive power... the size of half a thumb... God
Almighty Creator as we may call it again explodes with a Big Bang... the mighty power cannot
sustain itself... one can imagine the total Cosmos within half the size of a thumb... and
again starts a new Cosmos... a new beginning... new galaxies, stars, solar systems and
finally the evolution of an earthly system where Atmans souls can manifest.
A new journey not for the mankind for in the new system
it may be possible that Cobras are the highest manifestation... and it is as Cobras that one
gains emancipation and finally Salvation Moksha... it is but possible that human form may
comprise of an interim stage in the total cosmic life span. We may start life as an amoeba,
then an animal, then a human being, then a plant and finally evolving into a cobra to
emaciate and achieve Salvation Moksha.
Having explained the terms Religion and Spirituality in
detail, now I shall elaborate upon the meaning of Meditation and its importance in daily
In Hinduism Meditation is defined as Yoga. Rather
Meditation is a word coined much later and what initially existed was the word Yoga. and what
does Yoga mean? Yoga is derived from the word "Yog"... and Yog in Hinduism means literally
the + sign. As we say it in Hindi that 2 yog 2 means 4. Simply adding two plus two, which
equals four. In the cosmic domain yog stands for the attempt of atman soul to combine with
Parmatman (Brahman, God Almighty Creator).
Ever since the Big Bang occurred... every atman soul
makes an attempt to comeback to its cosmic glory the earliest possible... the original
pristine pure form but it cannot do so on its own. It needs a body to work out its Karma...
pass through a life span of 96.4 million years and a total of 8.4 million
This is similar as one KG of iron in a hundred KG of iron
ore cannot purify itself and come out of its own. We need the right mining machinery to drain
out the 99% impurities and it is only after that we can expect to see one KG of iron (the
purified Atman soul, the soul) in its cosmic glory. The removal of 99% impurities... the
dross within... requires an atman soul to manifest again and again... a total of 8.4 million
manifestations and a life span of 96.4 million years.
The process of purification... when this lump of hundred
KG of iron ore gets reduced to 86 KG... then 75... then 50... and finally one KG of pure
iron. For this Karma to happen every human being requires meditating and following austere
practices so that the dross within can be removed and our atman the soul within proceeds on
its cosmic journey at a faster pace. The effort of atman the soul within to regain its
pristine pure form prompts the physical form... the form of a human being to proceed faster
so that the goal can be achieved early and in this process the human being is required to
meditate. Meditation propels one to remove the dross within faster and gain more and more of
and how do you meditate! Is it merely sitting in a dark
room concentrating on the center of a small lit bulb... trying to block (rather still) our
thoughts... no it is not like that. I have seen people engaging not for years but decades in
various forms of Meditation without even ever trying to understand the true meaning of
Meditation. Unless we know what Meditation means... how can we even think of practicing
Whenever we try to go wrong... the small sweet inner
voice always tries to prompt us towards the right path... is it not a form of Meditation for
our atman the soul within cannot but afford wastage of precious time by its physical manifest
form (the form of a human being). Most Human Beings tend to ignore the promptings of atman
the soul within and continue with their lives basing their decisions more on ego than our
atman the soul within. This is where we falter... for our ego tends to keep us submerged in
the sensual surroundings of the five senses and we forget the true goal of life!
Meditation does not mean sitting anywhere closing our
eyes and concentrating on nothing or trying to focus on the various faces of gods. We shall
never achieve anything by this process... Meditation truly means cutting across all the
queries within us forever... the sooner the queries dissolve... we shall one day come
face-to-face with God... reach the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi (the stage of nothingness)...
the culmination of all that we call Spiritual. Nirvikalpa Samadhi is the stage when we have
almost crossed over the physical barrier of life... we have gained absolute control over our
five senses and finally the straying mind.
To control the numerous thoughts entering our brain every
moment of life is the most difficult to achieve. Gaining absolute control over the mind is
possible after we have gained absolute control of senses. The sooner the control is
established over the five senses... we are easily able to establish our control over the
numerous thoughts entering our brain. The moment we reach the stage when the flow of
inconsistent thoughts stops forever it is known as the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi... here we
come across face-to-face with God Almighty in all its cosmic glory.
I just but find no words to describe this stage as only
after gaining control of senses do we reach the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi. The stage of
Nirvikalpa Samadhi is much beyond the comprehension of senses. It is the final culmination of
all that is the Spiritual... one has reached the end of cosmic life. Having crossed the
threshold of 8.4 million manifestations the journey as a human being comes to an end. One
gains enlightenment... becomes a Mahavira, Buddha, Christ or a Mohammed.
The correct mode of Meditation is lying in the Shavasana
pose (the dead form) and practicing Neti (not this, not this). This was the path taken by
Maharishi Ramana... it is a wonderful means of Meditation... I was lucky that God guided me
on this path inherently. What is a Shavasana pose... how it can be practiced and what we
exactly mean by Neti can be asked of any Yoga master. The definitions of these is also
available here- Shavasana Nirvikalpa
the talk within
To practice Neti as it is intended to be is the shortest
path of Meditation for realizing God... gaining enlightenment? So many Mantras to be
followed... how can I surmise all of them here. Some are even forbidden by God not to be
disclosed to a normal human being.
It shall be around three years from now that I shall rise
above the present mortal plane after my family consisting of my wife and two lovely daughters
settle down and I am on my own to serve the community more freely. Only then I shall be able
to disclose to the world community... a glimpse of the cosmic truth.
As on date there is not one human being present on Mother
Earth who can assimilate the total meaning of my words... but there has got to be one who is
awaiting me with abated breath... one who shall be able to understand all what I have to
communicate before leaving this mortal frame. I have been waiting since 1993 to leave my body
but my family does not permit it. My job already having been done... I have but to spread the
fragrance of the cosmic wisdom so that the common masses can benefit out of it. The time is
not yet ripe for it.
Whether it is the Jainism, Buddhism, Taoism or
Confucianism way of Meditation... the prime goal of all is the same. What I have narrated
about is the correct mode and procedure for conducting Meditation.
God bless you!
Always there to clarify your queries (send your query),
Full text of query: One more question...if you
don't mind. Could you tell me what one might expect to experience through Meditation, from
Taoist standpoint in the first experience, without background in the Religion. I have the
technique, as I researched, however, I was wodnering what I may experience during and the
hours following. Thank you again E. back to how to meditate
Query: How is it possible for a conscious and compassionate
being to find joy in this world? I have meditated and prayed about this continuosly for years
When I was an insect in one of my earliest manifestations
I may have wanted to become a human being and enjoy life. When I became a plant further on I
still wanted to become a human being and enjoy life. Subsequently I became an animal yet I
wanted to become a human being and enjoy life. Now I have taken birth as a human being ...
yet enjoyment in life eludes me. Why? Am I not in harmony with my inner being! Do I look at
things from purely physical point of view.
I am a conscious being ... I have Realized God, yet I am
nearest to Humanity for I am now not only connected with the physical World but the World
within everybody. Having known the nature of atman the soul within I am now an extremely
happy men ... not mere external happiness but that feeling of Ananda which only one in a
billion practices and comes across.
Remaining out of harmony with your innerself ... you are
doing great injustice to atman the soul within you. The body of Carl Grant has not been taken
by Carl Grant but by atman the soul within. It is Atman which is on its journey of
purification and you have just to abide by it. If you practice what it dictates you are a
happy man ... if not you are the most dejected.
Every member of your family is on its path which is
totally independent of each other. No Atman soul is ever connected to one another. Why would
other members of your family try to understand you ... they have their goals of life to
accomplish. In a family all try to help one another but not on the cost of their goal. This
rarely happens in a country you belong to. In India it is a usual practice. You shall find so
many sacrificing their lives for the sake of another... no dearth of instances! Never try to
impose on anyone what you think is best for you. You are a Spiritual person but other members
of the family may belong to this materialistic World ... what is bad about it ... one is in
class two ... another in seven and yet another in twelfth.
All have to pass-through the various manifestations which
is fixed for all ... 8.4 million in total. Right from the day we started on this Cosmic
journey as an amobae till we achieve Salvation ... the last leg of the journey.
If you really need to know what peace is all about ...
you need to study and assimilate Bhagavad Gita ... the most sacred document existing on
Mother Earth. Lord Krishna who came 1500 years before Jesus Christ gave the Doctrine of
Bhagavad Gita To King Arjuna in the battle of Mahabharata. This Doctrine explains in totality
what life is all about ... how from the primordial times ... the time of the big Bang when
God splits himself and all atmans souls get scattered all over the Cosmos only to begin their
journey again. These independent Atmans souls have no other alternative but to manifest life
again and again until they regain absolute purity.
The journey of 8.4 million manifestations is a long one
(approx. 9.64 million earthly years). The moment we reach the form of a human being indicates
we have already covered a journey of approx. 7.8 million manifestations. The manifestation as
a human being being the highest in the Cosmos what can be more virtuous. As per Hinduism
Scriptures even Gods living in Heaven long for it ... for even they cannot achieve Salvation
without having being born as a human being ... it is only and only in form of a human being
can one achieve Salvation.
Peace is what Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King
practiced. One must first establish peace with innerself before we can broker peace between
others. and why would you want to establish peace on earth ...Such can be a goal for a King
of a nation ... you only need to understand yourself first. Bhagwan Mahavira and Gautama
Buddha could practice peace only after they had Realized God and attained Cosmic wisdom. Such
was the power of Mahavira and Buddha that even if two animals were fighting ... they used to
calm down if Mahavira or Buddha passed by.
I shall narrate one incident wherein a lion was about to
pounce on a cow. The moment Mahavira passed by the feeling of killing the cow immediately
vanished from the thought process of the lion and it started behaving as if it was a

You must go through the definition of Meditation and Yoga
in the Glossary on my homepage to understand their correct meaning. Once you start practicing
correct form of Meditation ... all your problems would vanish. In short, Meditation is
nothing but the effort of your true self (the I within) trying to establish contact with the
bigger I, the universal I of the Almighty Creator.
May God you strength to eliminate all that is negative
and understand the positive aspect of life!
Always there to clarify your queries (send your query),
Full text of query: How is it possible for a conscious and compassionate
being to find joy in this world? I fail to see how anyone who feels Spiritually connected to
all that is can help but feel guilty and even suicidal with all the unconsciousness,
separatism, survivalism, etc. resulting in so much pain and suffering. I feel so alone and so
helpless because I can't relate this to hardly anyone including my family. I have meditated
and prayed about this continuosly for some years now. All I want to do is give my life for
peace and unconditional love, but nothing I can think of seems to be enough. I would
appreciate your thoughts on this. I send you peace and love. C. back to meditation techniques
