Spiritual Path Growth Enlightenment Awakening Guidance Counseling

While traveling the spiritual path... do not forget that situations in life would drastically change every moment of your life. What you may be thinking now may not be applicable tomorrow. Whatever you may have planned for future may not materialize as your desires and wants would change as you spiritually alleviate yourself.

That spiritual elevation is not within your hands. The desire to proceed on the spiritual path is of your choosing... but the spiritual path itself is unknown. It is an absolutely uncharted territory. One never knows... what we might encounter on the way.

Let me give an example-

Today standing on the ground floor of Empire State building you may be having a good fight with your friend. The next moment another friend of yours seeks help from the 68th floor. You take the lift straight up and reach the 68th floor. After some time has passed your friend asks what you were doing on the ground floor. You tend to forget.

You tend to forget that you were having a good fight with your other friend. Why does this happen? On reaching the 68 floor you simply forgot yourself. Almost the whole of New York was visible from the 68th floor. You were so mesmerized by the situation that you simply lost the chain of thoughts. You probably forgave your friend. All for the better!

As one elevates on the spiritual path... we tend to forget rather we learn to forgive people. It is at this point we sometimes neglect our near and dear ones for all become equal to us. Unable to understand you... Your near and dear ones tend to criticize you for your behavior. This does not affect you but your relationship with your near and dear ones tends to sour.

Today you are planning your life in terms of financial freedom. It may or may not be achieved. All depends on the future status of your spiritual growth. On the spiritual plane... the physical manifest form of life carries little meaning. The materialistic riches which attract one on the physical plane become a burden for one on the spiritual path.

There always remains a possibility that you totally get distracted from your present goal of life of achieving financial freedom. This definitely is risky but such risks on the spiritual path are inevitable.

Take the example of Swami Vivekananda-

Many in the today's world believe Swami Vivekananda gained self realization in his lifetime. That was not to be. Swami Vivekananda many times admitted that he was never after gaining self realization. His goal of life was absolutely clear. He wanted to serve the poor and the downtrodden. The prime reason why he went to USA to fulfill his financial needs! He failed for the people of USA did not barter spirituality with money.

Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa many times asked Swami Vivekananda whether he wanted to pursue the path of self realization as goal of his life. His answer was always no. The firm determination and an absolutely clear goal of life was the Forte of Swami Vivekananda.

Every human being who has a clear goal of life like Swami Vivekananda would definitely achieve spiritual success in life. Nothing can stop such a person from spiritual awakening in near future.

The remarks above are not to dissuade you from your spiritual path but only to take precaution when necessary. Spiritual enlightenment is not that easy a task! It asks for many sacrifices. Left alone on the spiritual path... one only finds comfort in the company of God Almighty. The spiritual awakening that follows every serious seeker of spirituality is full of absolute bliss.

Reaching the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi and experiencing it is something that can never be expressed in words. Remaining in communion with God all the time is an experience which only one who has experienced can tell. It can only be experienced... after having reached the pinnacle of the spiritual journey.

One thing more has to be borne in mind that proceeding on the spiritual path is nowhere linked with serving the community and mankind until and unless we have gained spiritual enlightenment. Mahavira (the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism) categorically stated that we must never attempt to impart spiritual guidance or indulge in spiritual counseling until and unless one has reached the stage of Mahavira.

And who was Mahavira? One who had won himself... one who had realized his true inner self and reached the end of cosmic life! One who had become a true Jina! Having liberated forever from cycle of Birth and Death... one is allowed to disseminate the seeds of wisdom only after reaching the stage of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa or Maharishi Ramana.

Why worry for the community unless we have ourselves reached the pinnacle of spiritual life! We have to decide early in life whether we want to become a Ramakrishna Paramhansa or Swami Vivekananda in this life. Both had different goals of life. Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa desired gaining self realization as the goal of his life. On the contrary Swami Vivekananda desired to serve the community of the poor and downtrodden to the best of his capability.

Despite having a non spiritual goal of life Swami Vivekananda served Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa as any true shishya (spiritual student) would. Retrospectively Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa also fulfilled the spiritual needs of Swami Vivekananda as per his wishes. The special bond of relationship that existed between Swami Vivekananda and Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa is without a parallel in the history of mankind. It was absolutely unique in many ways.

In a nutshell, decide your final goal of life and proceed full thrust. The engine of your spiritual life would reach its destination provided it always runs full steam. We can never expect to travel the engine of our spiritual path with water boiling at 99°C. Not to mention that steam would only get generated at hundred degrees centigrade.

Full text of query: I m very much intrested in serving the society through ancient sciences and technology (or the sciences in rythem with Nature) Due to deep love for
Nature & India For Financial gain I wanna start the business of selling cow's ghee further agro/ayurveda based products Processing and selling.

After attaining The financial freedom i want to work on making the life of Creatures more beautiful full of wisdom and to spread the knowledge of Natural sciences & Ancient sciences for use in day to day life - industry/agriculture - administration etc. beacuse Ilove to do that.

Please help me in making these things happen and searching my real purpose of the life so that i can be free.
