Right from the beginning when the first human being evolved... popularly known as Adam and Eve... the existence of Atman soul, soul and inner self was always there! Yet, it is for certain that both Adam and Eve must have been ignorant of this particular power of discrimination. Why?

Out of a total of 8.4 million manifestations... about 7.3 million manifestations have already occurred before one reached the stage of a human being. In the human form alone there are about 1.1 million types of manifestations... something which is practically mind-boggling and difficult to understand!

It is these 1.1 million types of manifestations in which the human form gradually comes to recognize the power of discrimination present within. It slowly dawned upon the human being right from the stage of Stone Age that the human form is not devoid of special powers that be.

As and when the human form recognized the powers within... the process of hit and trial resulted in some inventions and discoveries. Gradually human being realized that it has the power to achieve something unbelievable! and what was that?

It was only the power of discrimination which made the wisest of human beings realize that it is not the body which has taken atman the soul within but it was vice versa. Having recognized the power of atman the soul within... to search for it within this lifetime became the passion for many! To realize God and reach the stage of salvation is the cosmic goal of every life!

Galileo gave away his life for he stated that sun was the core of the solar system and all planets rotated around it. Until the time of Galileo it was believed that earth was the centre of the cosmic system. As the ignorance gave way to intelligence... the truth finally dawned upon human beings that making Galileo pay for his discoveries with death was a big blunder.

This paves way for the fact that whatever may be a considered truth and fact today might be proved wrong tomorrow! We ultimately learn from our mistakes. Life is like that... it was what God Almighty desired it to be. A slow process of evolution is the fundamental essence of the whole cosmic system.

From the beginning to the end... from the start of the cosmos with a big bang to the end of cosmos with its dissolution... all is the result of a law which cannot err! Every step in life becomes a stepping stone to success... we need to take care that the first step was wisely taken!

The human form ultimately realized that God Almighty had built in the human form the ability to recognize the real itself within. Slowly it dawned upon the wisest of human beings that it is only as a Human Being that one reaches the pinnacle of cosmic glory.

No sooner the wisest of human beings realized that in human form the God Almighty had hidden its image in form of atman the soul within... the curiosity to search for this true inner self gave way to serious seekers of spirituality.

This wise man now desired to become a living God... having realized the true potential within... it dawned upon this wise man that one can within this life reach stage of enlightenment (self realization) and finally gain salvation moksha. This gave birth to the advent of Lord Mahavira, then Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and finally Prophet Mohammed.

Right from the times of King Rama... then Lord Krishna and finally Bhagwan Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed there has been a chain of human beings who ultimately realized God (reached stage of enlightenment) in their lifetime and finally gained salvation moksha!

In the last about 150 years only two persons have been able to reach stage of enlightenment and finally salvation moksha in Hinduism. They were Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana!

Whatever development we see today... it is not a making of a few years! In the last about 10,000 years... we find that the form of a human being as we see today gradually evolved in stages. As and when it recognized the potential (within) and put that power of discrimination to hit and trial... the result was a more defined and upright form of human being!

Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana did not evolve in a few years... it must have taken them a minimum of one million years for reaching that stage! Being born as a human being again and again until they realized the full potential within was the Forte of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana!

The initially stages in form of a human being were no different than the highly evolved forms of animals. It has been rightly said that before evolving into the human form... one must have manifested the form of monkeys and chimpanzees. They truly were our ancestors!

Imagine the situation when only a handful of human beings would have evolved... the system of family values as it exists today would not have existed then. There was nothing like relationships... establishing a sexual relationship between various human beings... Mother and son, father and daughter, sister and brother were only for the sake of progeny.

For the human beings of those days... sexuality never meant a form of relationship... it only stood for enjoyment and enhancing the progeny. The power of discrimination as it exists now was absolutely missing! It was how the system was built by God Almighty brick by brick.

The above is not an indication of the ignorance of the human beings of the yester era. Whatever may have been right then may not stand the test of time today and whatever is right today did not exist in the past! As life proceeds ahead... the evolving society establishes new standards and values.

To look back into the past is ignorance... whatever has been written in the sacred Scriptures of the past is not wrong but everything has to be interpolated in terms of the society standards and values today! It is only then one shall be able to rightly infer the hidden messages contained in these scriptural texts.

Our past was the first step on the ladder of life... our present is the middle of the ladder... as we climb further up and catch on to the path of pure spirituality... one can hope to reach the top of the ladder... Only then one can gain enlightenment and finally reach the stage of salvation moksha in Hinduism.

King Rama did not gain enlightenment in his lifetime... Lord Krishna was the first avatar of the era (God manifest in a human from)... then came Lord Mahavira who gained enlightenment in his lifetime. Followed him was Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and finally Prophet Mohammed!

The road to gaining enlightenment within this life calls for a strict regimen of life... practicing meditation and reaching the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi requires the will that dominates the characters of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana. Without which it is not only difficult but rather unthinkable to reach the end of the journey of life.

Full text of query: I saw your site and i would like to clarify my doubts. Atman soul, soul, inner self and so many words are mentioned there. I could not understand. What was status of a human being about 15,000 years ago? Did they know anything about it?
